“ I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says "Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again. ”
A cordial hello to all my friends while adorned in a cozy, warm cheerful scarf and sipping hot toffee herbal tea. Not a soul in my house. Silence and tranquility prevails. I am trying hard to love Sundays. We spend too many precious minutes declaring our hate for the end of a holiday and start of a hectic vicious week. No ! I will train my brain to think Sunday is a sweet holiday and Monday is the key day of the week. Will I succeed? I seriously doubt it. While I am resolving this issue in my head, let me enlighten you all with loveliness that made me swoon all of February and March.
If you read my blog you all know I love scarfs. Let me add a tiny feature to my obsession. Gigantic scarves but throw in a leopard anything and I will grab it. So I have been loving this scarf by Steve Madden. Its perfection for spring. Pink, neon, enormous and best of all edgy. Yes leopardness is edginess. It can make you look chic, trendy and high fashion in a second. Ok maybe not high fashion but you catch my drift. It transforms your entire look. Girls embrace the leopard. Love the leopard. Oh and leopard is sexy.Oh so magically sexy. It is and I love it.
A quick casual outfit I wore not too long ago :
|Chestnut brown high boots, black jeggings, purple sheer tunic button down shirt from Zara, Steve Madden scarf, Rose gold accessories|
A friend of mine had me over for a tea tasting party. If you are reading this post do leave me a comment. Yumminess one after the other in the midst of lovely company and lots of treats. Thanks to her for being such a pleasant hostess that I am totally addicted to herbal tea. After actively hunting for the perfect tea steeping mug I found this Moroccan piece of art. Not only do I reap the benefits of natural herbal teas, but I get to enjoy them in style. Don’t you guys love this mug. Its perfect for work. Is easy to wash, great big size and the best feature is the lid on top. So no dust bunnies in this cup.
Here are a few beauty favourites for the month of February and definitely March as well.
Rimmel Captivate me is a thick and rich gloss which is not sticky and feels high end.
It is long lasting too. The shine it gives my lips is not tacky. I have blogged about this lip gloss before. I will repurchase a new shade if not this one again definitely once I run out of it. It has minimal to no color so I enjoy wearing it alone or layering on top of my lipsticks.
Once upon a time I invested in a gadget from Benefit called the Benefit cupid bow set. Essentially the kit came with a dual ended lip brush and smudger and then a dual lip pencil and highlighter pencil.
So you line your bottom lip with the lip pencil, highlight your cubids bow, and you end up with a cute pout. I never used this contraption until last month. I do not use the brush but enjoy using the lip pencil. It is a nice pencil but is discontinued now. So you will not find it any stores but eBay I think. It is not a must have.
Maybelline 24 hr concealer is my go to concealer. It not only fabulously covers my under eye circles but also is a wonderful eye primer. I have tried gazillion high end , lower end , middle end kidding but again I am telling you I your friendly beauty blogger loves it and this is my tube 3. No lies.
Maybelline Super Stay Concealer
It gives me even colored bright eyes which do not crease at all. I am done with my eyes in seconds with this beauty. I do use MAC 130 brush to apply the concealer on my eyes. It’s the perfect brush for the task.
I have blogged before about the MAC holiday Dashing Lassie Pallet I own. I am enjoying this gem so much.
It has the perfect matte brown color for my eyebrows, highlight for under the brows but the color I am obsessed with is MAC Bronze.
It is perfect. Long lasting, pigmented and no fall out eye shadow. It is perfect for days I want to wear eye shadow but still look work appropriate. Its chocolate for me… I love it.
My favourite blush combo has been MAC Darkly My Dear matte blush topped with Cargo dark bronzer.
It creates an exquisite glowy bronzy sheen. I am in love. If you love the Latino look sometimes please do try this out.
Guys how many of you love MAC studio fix powder and MAC natural mineralized skin finish. I will always stay true to my MAC powders because I do love them however they will stay really protected and untouched because I have found perfection. It is so much cheaper and just wonderful. I am talking about Revlon Nearly Naked Powder.
Its finely milled, easy to apply and not chalky at all. Try it.
What are your favourites? Do you have any plans for the weekend? I hope you have a safe and fun holiday.
Love n hugs
